Hey Paul,
Hope you're doing well. here are the designs I came up with. Basically I came up with five distinct ideas and did variants on a couple of the themes.
rarely do I ever explain ideas, but these seem kind of disconnected, so I figure I'll share my rationale.
The map is just about mixing the old and new, sacred and profane - I pictured an old surveyor's map with lipstick writing scrawled over it.
The second was inspired by your sing "mescaline donkey."
The third is inspired by the illustrator Mucha, but I wanted to bring in the Native American ritual via an old newspaper image (again, mixing the sacred and profane).
The satellite again for me is about technology and space and place - that and I tried to make it look like a cool old screenprint.
Lastly, I can't think of Greeley without picturing a cow. And that made me think of Andy Warhol's cow wallpaper. And so I decided on a little homage that's kind of retro-y. The large cow is just a teaser poster.
As far as the information on them goes, I stuck with just the basic band and place info. All of the other info was so much text it never really worked on a graphic poster. Especially with all the band names, if I tried to put the raffle info and stuff like that it just made them all seem less like posters and more like brochures.
That's just my two cents. i can re-do any of them if you want.
Below are the files to download for printing if you're going to have any of them printed. Let me know if you have any trouble with them or anything.
best,
Marc
